Co-Owner
Shawn is a co-owner of Verne’s Carpet One Floor & Home, where his career began as a part-time student in high school. Since moving into a full-time role in 1996, Shawn has dedicated nearly three decades to mastering the flooring industry and serving the local community. Having grown with the business, he takes great pride in offering expert advice and personalized service. When he isn't helping clients find the perfect flooring, Shawn is likely hitting the golf course or playing music."
Co-Owner
Dave has been part of the Verne’s Carpet One team since 2008 and takes pride in helping continue the store’s long-standing reputation in the Tillsonburg community. He enjoys building strong relationships with customers and making sure every project receives the attention it deserves. Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his family and helping coordinate Hockey For Everyone, a local initiative that provides free ice time and equipment for youth in the community.
Commercial and Residential Sales
Michael grew up in the flooring business, working in his family's flooring store in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, and then as a commercial estimator and project manager at Nelson Floorcovering in Lloydminster. Later, he and his wife raised their two children in the Okanagan, and Michael ventured into the healthcare field for several years, primarily in supporting adults with disabilities. But, he circled back to floor covering, and started working at Verne’s Carpet One in December 2018 after moving to Tillsonburg with his wife. He says it is the second-best place he has ever worked. (Sorry, boys, but you can’t beat Dad!)
Home and Flooring Consultant
As a Home and Flooring Consultant at Verne’s Carpet One, Meghan help homeowners find flooring that looks great and holds up to real life. With a background in fashion, she has a sharp eye for colour, texture, and the details that pull a space together.
When Meghan isn't in the showroom, she's spending time with her family, making our house feel like home—and fully appreciating floors that can handle a little chaos.
Flooring and Blinds Consultant
Jennifer holds an interior design diploma and brings over 10 years of experience to the flooring industry, including three years at Verne’s Carpet One. She specializes in flooring and blinds, and assists clients with selecting the perfect paint colours to combine design expertise with practical solutions. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys chauffeuring her boys to baseball and embracing a busy family life.
Accounting and Administration
Amber works in accounting and admin, where she spends her days doing thrilling things like balancing numbers and making sure nothing catches on fire. It’s basically baseball without the uniforms: lots of stats, strict rules, and zero room for errors. Amber is the behind-the-scenes player keeping the books clean, the schedules tight, and the chaos politely under control. When Amber isn't reconciling accounts, she's on the baseball field, enjoying a sport that also rewards patience, precision, and pretending strikeouts never happened.
Purchasing and Accounting
Karley manages the Purchasing and Accounting department here at Vernes, where her role is to keep things organized, efficient, and moving in the right direction. Outside the office, she's busy keeping up with a toddler - so quick thinking, adaptability, and multitasking are part of her daily routine. Whether at work or negotiating snack time at home, she thrives on staying organized and tackling challenges head-on.
Service Technician
Jeff brings years of hands-on experience to his role as Service Technician, helping ensure every installation and service call is completed with care and attention to detail. He takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and making sure customers are completely satisfied with the finished result.
Head Driver
Jaxon oversees delivery coordination and logistics, making sure products arrive safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he helps keep warehouse and delivery operations running smoothly while supporting both customers and the installation team.
Quality Assurance
Chris focuses on quality assurance and helps ensure projects meet the high standards Verne’s Carpet One is known for. With a careful eye for detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction, he works closely with the team to help every project run smoothly from start to finish.
Warehouse Manager
Zack manages warehouse operations and inventory, helping keep materials organized and projects moving efficiently. His dependable approach and strong attention to detail help support the entire team and ensure customers receive the products they need on time.
